Javelin anchors itself firmly in Sudbury, Suffolk

Javelin throws itself into business again with the opening of its refurbished women’s store at The Anchor on 6th February.  After the tragic Sudbury fire in September we have finally been able to refurbish the store, we had thought that the store would have been opened much sooner but (…)due to water damage from the heavy rain over the last month or so, we needed to wait until a temporary roof was erected onto the adjoining buildings, therefore allowing time for the building to dry.

Unlike some buildings that were affected by the blaze we are so pleased that our historical building remained, it would have been such a loss to the history of the town if The Anchor had been destroyed by the fire.   We would like to express our gratitude to the Suffolk Fire Service for battling to save our building but also for salvaging a proportion of our stock.  So many residents and businesses have suffered far worse than us and we wish them all well in rebuilding their lives.

The Clayton family have traded in Sudbury since 1968 and definitely had no intentions of leaving the Market Town.    The opening of Javelin Men was brought forward and with its Espresso Bar has proved to be a great success and also now rewarding Javelin Loyalty Card holders with 10% off their handcrafted coffees and speciality cakes.

The new women’s store will have a simple, no-nonsense, industrial chic look, which will give the architecture of The Anchor a sympathetic appeal whilst not distracting from the bones of the building and its history.  Worn textures mixed with feminine elements, such as velvet trim which is complemented with soft lighting giving our ladies a modern shopping experience with injections of glamour and sparkle from the gorgeous ranges of clothing and accessories.

You will be pleasantly surprised by the affordability of the clothing and accessories we have chosen especially for this store giving you high fashion at extremely competitive prices.   You will find the latest fashion from brands such as Vero Moda, Glamorous, Superdry and Ted Baker.   Friars Street is the destination for bespoke and independent shops and we hope that Javelins presence draws you to this historical part of town.

Come and see us on the Saturday 6th February from 9.30 and enjoy a glass of bubbly whilst browsing our latest spring 2016 collections.
