March brings with it a hope of Spring, with Mother’s Day, the first Bank Holiday and Easter.  The BrushStroke Festival of Art which starts on March 1 and continues on the March 3 until March 10 has original Art and Sculpture from local artists in support of Success After Stroke in St. Peter’s. Sudbury Symphony Orchestra Spring (…) Concert will also be held in St. Peter’s on March 20.

A series of breakfast tours have been arranged to accompany the exhibitions at Gainsborough’s House.  Poetic Landscape, The Etching of Samuel Palmer Exhibition is currently on at Gainsborough’s House and on March 9 there is a breakfast tour of Designing Georgian Britain by Dr Peter Moore.   The tour will begin at 9am and conclude at 10am with breakfast including hot drinks and croissants.

A performance to look out for at The Quay is the Sudbury Dramatic Society’s Shadowlands on March 1.  The new hit comedy, Hangman, will be shown live from the West End on March 7 and for those who like classic horror movies, there is a day of horror on March 26 with The First Ever Dead and Sudburied Horrorthon.

The Sudbury Festival of Performing Arts continues throughout March.  Competitions will culminate with a concert on March 13.

The Sudbury Fun Run is one of the major sports events in Sudbury and takes place on Good Friday, March 25 from 9.15am.
