Events and classes in 2016 will include a free Chicken Keeping Class for Beginners on the 12th March.  Our half-yearly Swap Shop when anyone is welcome to give away their unwanted items and take whatever treasures catch their eye, all for free, with the aim to reduce landfill will be held on the 16th April.  A visit to Fulibroch Dairy (…)on the 14th May to find out about managing goats and their current environmental projects.  On the 12th June, we will be on the information desk at the Taste of Sudbury Food & Drink Festival promoting shopping locally and on the 2nd July we have a Preserving Class taken by Libby from the Jam Shed.

Transition groups have been set up all over the world, bringing people together to work towards a sustainable future for their communities.  The aim is to encourage each community to live more sustainable lifestyles such as shopping locally sourced food, recycling, energy saving and sharing skills.  Transition Sudbury was set up in 2010 and have organised a wide range of events, walks, talks and classes.
