Beat the Street is full swing throughout Sudbury and Great Cornard. The free cards and maps are available at the Library or Leisure Centre and everyone is welcome to take part, so don’t miss out on your chance to win prizes, join a team and get fit. Find out more www.beatthestreet.me/sgc. Short lunchtime walks will take place (…) throughout October, it’s the perfect way to take in the autumn colour and explore the town. All the guided walks arranged to coincide with Beat the Street are free for anyone to come along for an hour and double points will be awarded on Beat Boxes tapped and there will be goodies to give away.
Two walks not to miss are the Memory Walk on October 22 starting at 12noon from the Kingfisher Leisure Centre. Free to all walkers of any age but you need to register online at https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/sudbury-memory-walk-tickets-27323275653 and on October 31 at 12noon from Drage & Tozer. Free for all and is a great way of discovering some of Sudbury’s history by walking part of the Talbot Trail and follow the bronzes depicting Sudbury’s heritage.
Sudbury Community Kitchen is open every Monday including bank holidays from 12 to 2 at St Gregory’s Church Hall, Prince Street, Sudbury. Everyone can come along for a free homemade lunch and a warm welcome.
Wellbeing stall and mini-bus at the Thursday Market on October 13 between 10am and 2pm. Lots of information and advice; free health checks by One Life Suffolk and lots more. Organised by Sudbury VASP for World Mental Health Week.
Take a boat trip during October and show your Beat the Street card to claim your free tea or coffee in The Granary Tea Room. The last trip for 2016 will be on Sunday October 30.
