Sudbury Common Lands are within minutes of the centre of Sudbury where you will find some great walks, pick up a free leaflet in the Tourist Information Centre for the Gainsborough Trail which takes you on a circular walk round the unique landscape of Sudbury’s ancient water meadows.
Sudbury has a wealth of history, follow the Talbot Trail which is a walk around the town to find sculptures depicting Sudbury’s Heritage. This is a great way to find out more about this ancient market town and the accompanying booklet is only 50p from the Tourist Information Centre.
Whilst in Sudbury; take advantage of the 3 hours free parking and visit the town centre shops. The reasons to shop local whenever possible are important throughout the year as it keeps money in the local economy and maintains the local character of the town.
Sudbury also benefits from a great selection of restaurants and cafes including Shillingford’s at The Quay which is rated Best Restaurant in East Anglia by Trip Advisor or try The Loft restaurant and Westons Bakery which have both opened recently in Gaol Lane.
