TRI Sudbury SPRINT DISTANCE Triathlon – 250m pool swim – 21.5km bike – 5km run.  On Sunday 18th June 2017

The Sudbury Triathlon is suited to triathletes of all abilities. The short distances and friendly atmosphere make this event ideal for the first time competitor, whilst offering the more experienced competitors some close racing on a challenging undulating bike course

Entry gives each competitor one free ticket for the raffle, which will be drawn on the day, with a top prize of a £1000 bike voucher!!! (Torque Bikes). Additional raffle tickets will be available to purchase on the day. You must be present when the raffle is drawn to claim your prize.

The 250m snake swim will take place at the open-air pool at the Great Cornard Sports Centre .

The bike route heads south through the beautiful Suffolk countryside to the village of Bures, where the course takes a sharp left turn and begins a climb to the top of Cuckoo Hill. From here, riders will continue following the quiet lanes until they reach a ‘T’ junction where they will turn left to join the main road (A134) and head back towards Sudbury. The last stretch of 2.4km starts at the roundabout at the end of this road, from where it is a fast race back to the transition.

The 5km run takes place on the school / football club fields. Runners will complete 2 laps of the course before heading onto the tarmac path with a straight line sprint to the finish!

The race is run under BTF rules, a copy of which will be available at registration. Maps of the course will be available on the www.trisudbury.com website. This is a non- drafting race.
