Melodic Modern Music are not words you normally associate with one another but on Sunday 20th November, Sudbury Choral Society is putting on a concert of Modern Choral music that belies this commonly held view. on Classic fm at the moment; along with stalwarts of English music, composers John Rutter, Benjamin Britten, Ralph Vaughan Williams and George Dyson. As an extra treat we also have 3 solo songs by Claude Debussy with harp accompaniment.
The choir is supported by a string orchestra and features East Anglian Soprano Laura Morgan and local harpist Helen Sharp.
