Care UK,  South Suffolk Leisure and the Hadleigh Dementia Action Alliance are working in partnership to support local resident Jerry Thatcher to organise a Sudbury Memory Walk.  The aim of the event if to raise awareness and understanding of Dementia and to mark the memory of those that we love and wish to remember.  The event is FREE (…)to all walkers of any age.  You just need to register on line.

When and where is it is taking place?

Saturday 22nd October 2016         12:00 to 16:00    Starting at the Kingfisher Leisure Centre, Station  Road Sudbury.

 How far do I need to walk?

You decide.  There are three distances to choose from; 1 mile, 3 miles or 5 miles.  Along the Valley Walk out and back.  There are hydration stations at ½ mile 1 ½ miles and 2 ½ miles supported and sponsored by Care UK.  There is water and snacks available.

 How you can help?!

o   Display a poster

o   Print some flyers and circulate them to everyone!

o   Upload the poster to your social media account and share share share…

o   Upload to your website

o   Sign up and take part in the walk and encourage others to do the  same

o   Volunteer on the day as a marshal

o   Fundraise for the Alzheimer’s Society or the Hadleigh Dementia Action Alliance

o   Make a donation of a raffle prize
