A huge Art Fair is launching in Sudbury next week and is set to run for six days. This is no ordinary art exhibition as it is a showcase for the work of over 60 of this area’s leading artists and crafts people – most of them well known professionals. Sudbury Library will be holdings its annual summer holiday reading game called “the big friendly read” inspired by the children’s author Roald Dahl.  Children can register for free from July 17 and the testing times are 10.30am to 12.30pm and 2pm to 4 pm Monday to Saturday and also 10.30am to 12.30 pm Sundays.  The Toptime sessions are free to attend and are held at 2.30pm every Tuesday (…)

Sudbury is well known for its association with art, the annual Garlanding of Thomas Gainsborough’s Statue on the Market Hill is on May 14 at 10.30am.  The Mayor and Mark Bills will kick off the day by the statue and then all will be led by the Great Waldingfield Bush Band down to the Gainsborough’s House for the festive day!  Free (…)
